1957 Col-Hi Wildcats Boys’ Golf Team

“Father” Bailey Ricketts coached the team to the 1957 OSSAA State 4 Ball Team Title played in Oklahoma City at Lincoln Park Golf Course. It was a 54 hole event over 3 days. The Wildcats team took the State Championship by 14 strokes over Muskogee, 962 to 976. Leading the team and finishing 3rd place as an individual was senior, Dee Ketchum, with a 3 day total of 230 on rounds of 79, 74 and 77. Fellow seniors, Lynn Gray, Blair Rugh and Robert “Robby” Beard finished out the 4-man team score. Also on the championship team were seniors Henry Kane and Jim Hays and sophomore, Richard Keeler.
