Bill Mingle

Mingle served as a long-time play-by-play announcer for Bartlesville area teams and earned a reputation for his meticulous stat keeping and professionalism. He worked in radio and television from 1960 to 1988 in Parsons KS, Wichita KS, Champaign IL and Bartlesville. In addition to broadcasting many football, basketball and baseball games at the high school level in all four communities he also did some college play by play. Bill was the Wichita State TV announcer for basketball 1966-67 and was on the University of Illinois football and basketball radio broadcast team 1969-1973 before coming to Bartlesville. While in Bartlesville he worked at KWON until 1979 and later became the station manager at KYFM. In1983 he began working for the Examiner Enterprise doing cable TV news and sports highlight shows which continued until 1988.
