Renee Roberts Jones

Renee was born on August 29, 1975 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Raymond and Rita Roberts.  Renee was a four year starter for the Bartlesville Lady Bruins where she played for coaches Rod Berger and Gerald Thompson.  During her career she averaged 18 points, 6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.  As a sophomore Renee helped lead her team to the 1992 State Championship game.  She was named team captain her junior and senior years.  Not only was Renee an accomplished basketball player, she also excelled in track. She was ranked 4th in the 200 meter and 3rd th3 4×100 relay.

Renee continued her basketball career at Oklahoma State University where she was a four year starter.  As a freshman she played in every game but one, due to illness, averaging 18 minutes per game.  Twice that season she led the team in both points and rebounds. She was named to Honorable Mention to the All Big-12 team in 1996 and 1998 and was 2nd team All Big-12 in 1997. Renee currently ranks 7th all-time in points scored with 1,243. She is only the 3rd player to amass over 1,000 points (1,243), 500 rebounds (554) and 200 assists (226) in her playing career.

Renee is currently an assistant principal for the Terrell ISD in Terrell, TX. She is married to Derek Jones and has one daughter, Danielle Jones.  Renee also has two siblings, her brother Raymond Roberts and sister Regina Roberts.
