Coach Sid Burton

Sid Burton, a 1949 College High graduate, returned to his hometown in 1958 to serve as an assistant coach in basketball, football, and baseball.

Coach Burton was head coach of the Wildcats boys’  basketball team from 1965-67. His 1967 team won the first ever basketball championship for Bartlesville as they defeated OC Douglass 74-72 in one of the greatest upsets in State basketball history.
