Jim Clark

A 1954 College High graduate, Jim began shooting skeet as a young boy and went on to win his first shooting trophy at the age of 10. He would later win the Junior World Championship as a high school student in 1951, and went on to become a two-time All-American. At the age of 17, Jim was the top-ranked junior skeet shooter in the world. He won the Oklahoma State Skeet Championships for three straight years in four different gauges – .410, 29, 20 and 12. Jim collected his first state championship at the age of 14. In 1960 – at the age of 24 – Jim was a member of the United States trap shooting squad in the Summer Olympics, which took place in Rome, Italy. At the Olympics, he finished fourth out of 90 shooters by one shot after hitting 188 out of 200 birds. A retiree from Phillips Petroleum Company, Jim resides in Bartlesville.
