Yolanda “Yogi” York

Yolanda “Yogi” York, a 1992 Bartlesville High School graduate was selected to the All State girls basketball team and was chosen Most Valuable Player of the All State game. She also received the prestigious honor of being selected to The Oklahoman’s Super 5 All State team her senior year.

Yogi, a four year starter, led her Lady Bruins team to two state tournaments, including 5A state runner-ups in 1992. Yogi went on to play basketball at Oklahoma State University from 1992-95 where she was a three year starter. She is currently ranked #7 in OSU history in assists with 330, she is #6 in steals with 224, and #18 in minutes played with 2,873 minutes.

In 1994-95 she was selected for the Big 8 honorable mention all-conference. Yogi transferred to Southeastern Oklahoma State University where she helped lead the team to an NAIA national runner-up finish in 1996.

After college, she played one year in the women’s professional basketball league in Gdansk, Poland.
