Cindy Cooper

Cindy, a 1982 Sooner High graduate, played on three straight state tournament teams and finished her career with a record of 62-18. The 1982 team, coached by Carol Green, was ranked #1 in the state, but fell to Mustang in the semi-finals. Cindy was named to the All-State Team and was also a member of the 1980 Sooner 4A State Champion Softball Team coached by Larry Fischer. She went on to a successful career at Texas A & M, being part of the 1983 National Championship Team and was named to the 1983 Softball College World Series all-Tournament Team at 3rd base. Her teams were NCAA National runner-ups in 1984 and 1986. She was named to the 1986 Softball College World Series All-Tournament Team. Cindy was inducted into the Texas A & M Hall of fame in 2007.
